Updating from 3.15.3

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Updating from 3.15.3

Post by oldeflyer »

I'm a little behind in updating my MX.
I have looked at the releases and it looks like I can go from 3.15.3 up TO 3.20 in one step. I am running a PI system and will also be updating the Linux before the MX upgrade.

Anybody know of any issues to doing this? It looks like some new records and editor updates.
This will be my first update since switching from 1.94 to MX. Also first major Pi update. :?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
I think you'll be okay as far as CMX. v3.20.0 added a couple of new Rain items in dayfile.txt and you can run the CreateMissing utility after you've made the version update to get those new fields in the rest of your dayfile. There are some changes in the settings, so you may want to go through each of the settings pages after you have the new version running.

I don't use the Pi so can't comment on that.

Enjoy,
Paul
