Help With NOAA Reports

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Help With NOAA Reports

Post by The Dalek Hunter »

Stupid question coming - sorry.

I have never paid much attention to the NOAA reports other than to check they are working. Having a look at them today for one on my sites

https://www.angteck.co.uk/noaareport.htm

I notice a -18.0

Temperature (°C), Heat Base: 18.3 Cool Base: 18.3
Dep. Heat Cool Max Max Min Min
Mean Mean From Deg Deg >= <= <= <=
YR MO Max Min Mean Norm Days Days Hi Date Low Date 27.0 0.0 0.0 -18.0

Being stupid - what does the -18.0 represent. I have gone into the Dashboard and looked at all time records, monthly records but can't find a -18.0 anywhere.

Thanks

The lines have to read together...

Code: Select all

                          Dep. Heat Cool Max Max Min Min
        Mean  Mean        From  Deg   Deg                        >=   <=   <=   <=
 YR MO Max Min Mean Norm Days Days Hi Date Low Date 27.0 0.0 0.0 -18.0
So that column is a count of the number of days where the temperature equalled or dropped below -18.0
