Cumulus Support

The Cumulus Wiki will be migrated to a new host this Sunday 30 October 2022 at 20:00 UTC. The change should be largely transparent to Wiki users, apart from the following:

• The Wiki will be read only from 23:00 UTC on Saturday 29 October 2022. You will not be able to edit/create/delete articles until the migration is complete.
• Future notification emails from the Wiki will come from the following email address: wiki@hosiene.co.uk
• The Wiki will be upgraded to the latest version (1.38.4) from 1.31.1. Visually and functionally it seems just the same to me - but lots of changes under the hood.

The DNS transfer will take place at 20:00 UTC on Sunday 30th. This may result in some users seeing the old location for a few hours until the DNS change has propagated fully across the internet. The easiest way to tell if you are on the new location is that you will be able to edit articles, whereas if you land at the old location then you won't DNS propagation will be complete in 24 hours, but in reality it usually is all done in a couple of hours.

The Wiki URL will remain the same as it is now.

If you experience any issues relating to the migration then either start a topic in the "Suggestions for updates and additions to the Cumulus Wiki" forum (preferred) or PM me.

Following the migration, some restructuring of the Wiki will be taking place - but that will be the topic of a future announcement.

I forgot to say: new installation is available to test at https://wiki.hosiene.co.uk/ - but the URL will obviously change on Sunday.

Migration is now complete.
