Replacing Missing Log File Data

I noticed today that the September 2022 noaa report was missing days 1-21. On checking the dayfile there was no data from 17/8/22 through to 21/9/22 and also on the monthly logs for September and August. The August noaa report was complete so whatever the cause it must have been in September.

As luck would have it I had been backing up the data files to Google Drive, however it overwrites old files, but a second stroke of luck, for some reason google drive stopped updating on 27/9 so I still have the missing data.

Now I guess I can edit the current Aug22log.txt, Sep22log.txt and dayfile.txt with the missing data without too much trouble, but how do I go about the monthlyalltimelog.txt and the alltimelog.txt. and what about the .ini files do they need attention?

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, you can just add in the missing data to monthly log files.

I assume though that as you have the data in old files it got deleted at some point after CMX recorded it, so presumably you also have the missing entries from the dayfile in a back-up as well? If you do then you can just paste that missing data into the dayfile. You then need to restart CMX.

You can then use all the records editors in CMX to check if any records need amending with data from those periods.

Google drive keeps a back-up of previous versions of files when they are overwritten. I don't know how far back it goes, but that is worth checking too.
