I have data on the admin page (8998), but the template does not show any. I'm not sure where index.htm is actually supposed to be, and where the data from my weather station is to be copied. I had CumulusMX runnig fine on a pi, but the pi died. Now I can't seem to get it working on a new pi. It took some experimenting on the old pi, to get it working, but now I can't remember what I did.

Are you saying your local interface is working correctly but beside that, you want to have a website and you don't know how to configure the website?

A web page template comes with the distribution. It is triggered with index.htm, located in the webfiles folder. It populates with the .json files from the weather station. I have forgotten how to link those files with the template.

Do you have a link to the website?
(always handy to put that in the signature)

Hi,
Current CumulusMX default website is different from the past. Just onetime upload all the contends of \CumulusMX\webfiles to your site. As you noted, this one-time CumulusMX\webfiles content upload now contains an index.htm, unlike the previous where index.htm was processed by Cumulus and updated by FTP at your interval setting - i.e. 5 minutes.
If your Internet settings are correct CumulusMX will update the needed .json data files to your site and the new index.htm on your site will use that updated data.
Enjoy,
Paul

Do you mean you have forgotten the setting which "unlocks" the .json file settings? It is:
Settings menu of interface →
Internet settings →
web/FTP settings →
select I want to use the supplied default web site.
More questions? Maybe worth reading
the documentation written by Mark Crossley and Neil Thomas about using the MX default web pages.

In regard to my original post, I found the setting and nexessary fies to get the web page working. To get it on line, I installed Apache2. It is all now working on grupefamily.com.
