Stainless Steel Temperature Probe Failing?

Post by Mapantz »

I set up the soil/leaf transmitter back in January.. I've just started noticing that the grass temperature probe keeps spiking downwards, sometimes to below freezing.

Pretty peeved about it to be honest. The amount of money I have spent on Davis products which have failed in a short space of time, is eye watering.

Try an Ecowitt T/H sensor beside it and see how that compares.

I'm pretty sure I don't need to put another sensor alongside of it to confirm that sub-zero temps are impossible.

I have an Ecowitt grass temperature probe. Strangely enough I've had the same symptom over the past couple of days. Fortunately a replacement is less than £20!

That might be an indicator of another reason.
