Data Error with ecowit gw1103 ( 3.17.0 b3184 )

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

It looks like you changed the locale CMX was running under from one that uses a dot decimal to a comma decimal at some point.
You will have to edit all the lines in the dayfile that use a dot decimal, and change the separator from a "," to ";", then change all the decimal "." to ",".

Do that with CMX stopped, and restart it after the edit and you should be OK.
Take a copy of the dayfile first! ;)

Excel thinks that some of the data is text. Is there a " at the end of each line? Not a real problem eitherway - with a text editor you should be able to replace all " with nothing.

Take care with which editor you use - Notepad is very good at messing up 'simple' text files.

I use ATOM under Windows https://atom.io which is overkill for what you want to do - but is very useful for lots of other jobs!

If using UN*X like OS then the normal editors (e.g. nano) will do the job.

Cheers

I would not use Excel to edit the file, as Phil says a good text editor is the way to go. With Excel (or any spreadsheet) there are too many ways for you to get it wrong.
