Weather data in the MXDiags files
Hi, I'm fairly new to CumulusMX and all has run well until I started getting what looks like weather station data mixed in with my MXDiag texts that I've never seen before.
1) What could be causing this?
2) Would this cause any problems with midnight rollover?
Seems like when this started a couple days ago my NOAA reports stopped uploading to my local website server. I'm running the website from the same computer that CumulusMX is installed on. My website is not public. All the settings in the[ Interface_>NOAA Settings ] are accurate and hasn't been touch since installation. I've got it set up to copy the files to my local web server.
Below is a snippet of what is appearing in my MXDiags file; I'm running build 3196. Thank you for any help or advise.

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
Nothing strange in that, it is standard start up data put into MXdiags by MX.

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
Thanks Water01. I just never noticed it before and found it searching for reasons why my NOAA reports stopped updating on my local web server. Guess I'll keep trying to figure it out. Thanks again!

Hi,
Do you have all your NOAA settings correct, including [tick] Auto FTP NOAA reports file? and/or [tick] Auto Copy NOAA reports files?
If the settings are correct to Enable Reports, check the MXdiags file for the midnight rollover time to see what is happening
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
Re-checked my NOAA Settings and AUTO FTP = unticked as I don't use FTP but I do have ticked AUTO COPY and confirmed the proper local folder to put them. I was working as expected up until a few days ago. Copying the files on the rollover from Aug 20 into Aug 21. Below is a snipped of this mornings MXDiags and everything appeared okay. BTW - I also confirmed the monthly and yearly NOAA files were being created in the Interface Reports folder. Kind of tells me that there is a problem with the path or similar but I've checked, re-check several times and they are correct. In fact I haven't touched them since creating it and was working just fine previously to this.
Thanks for all your assistance.

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
Is there anything in the log at the next logging interval - that is when the file should be copied.

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
Hi thanks mcrossley .... Not that I was able to determine. I've uploaded my MXdiags log from this morning if that will help. I did notice that if you scroll all the way to the last entry in the log and look up from there a few lines I see stuff in there mentioning 8/21/2022 but I don't know what it's telling me. Coincidentally this is the date the files stopped being uploaded.

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
That log file just shows CMX starting up and downloading historic data, it stops when that is complete.
I suggest you enable debug logging and post the next log file that covers a midnight rollover plus at least half an hour.

Re: Weather data in the MXDiags files
Thank you @mcrossley. I solved the issue last night and just haven't gotten around to posting it. I run CMX every four hours from a .bat file to download the information then close down until the next four hours and it repeats the process. I apparently wasn't giving it enough time to so that it could do an update to the web site. ie: shutting CMX down to soon. I increased the time for CMX to run and all is good now.
Thanks for all your hard work to keep CMK going. The program is great!
