DB recovery.

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

DB recovery.

Post by f_marcello »

Hello everyone,
I had problems with my HD so I made a copy of the cumulusmx dierctory. At launch I had errors and therefore had to switch to a fresh install. I have lost my historical data. Can you tell me how I can do a recovery of my old db on the new installation. Thank you.

All the data is held in the /data folder log files (monthly and dayfile). All the records are held in the various .ini files in the /data folder.
The final bit of info is in the Main Cumulus.ini file - the date records began.

If you generate NOAA reports, then you also need to restore the contents of the /Reports folder.

TLDR: Just restore your /data and /reports folders and your Cumulus.ini file.

Thank you.
I changed the date at the beginning of the cumulus.ini file in the main folder, at the beginning of the file. I have copied all the data in the \ data folder, but unfortunately the historical data still does not appear. Also the console from this screen:

Cumulus MX v.3.19.3 build 3196
Working Dir: C:\Users\marce\Documents\CumulusMX\

Cumulus running at: http://localhost:8998/
http://192.168.1.210:8998/

Open the admin interface by entering one of the above URLs into a web browser.

Today.ini = data\today.ini
