NOAA Drop Down Limited

Hi guys, running v.3.19.3 build 3196. Just installed after resetting PC to factory settings. Noticed the NOAA drop down selection is new (VERY COOL!!) but its not showing previous years and the months only go back to March.

Any idea what folder I should be checking to fix that?

I noticed the Diags says
"Error at line 3829, column 6, value '05:50' of dayfile.txt: Input string was not in a correct format."

but looking at that line it seems correct.
"01/08/22,8,259,02:09,64.6,05:50,73.9,18:45,1013.5,20:30,1020.3,00:00,0.24,02:45,0.32,68.0,8.9,3,02:15,88,17:30,99,06:03,0.000,1.0,73.9,18:45,81.3,18:45,69.4,05:50,0.12,04:00,64.6,05:50,70.1,18:45,64.0,05:50,288,0.0,4.0,265,18:40,2.0,12:30,79.5,18:45,67.6,05:50,31.7,18:45,679.5"

If you made a true new install your probably should adjust the StartDate to you original datafiles (which I assume you copied over). See Wiki, search StartDate.

I checked the Dayfile.txt but on my system I don't get an error (checked through CUtils) and I don't see any visually either.

Hi,
I also have looked at dayfile.txt and looks ok to me as well.
Do all the NOAA Year Report for previous years work?
If they do I'd try to delete the 2022 year and monthly reports and (Re)Generate them.

Enjoy,
Paul

PERFECT! That was it. In the Cumulus.ini folder "StartDate" was March 22, 2022. I changed it to March 20, 2012 and WhaLah, its working.

Thanks!

Good.

But did that also fix the dayfile error? :?

I do not see any problem with the file at that location either.

As Paul said, re-generate this months or this years report and see if you get the problem in the log again.

Had to do a PC restart and trying to get things back up and running. The drop down NOAA months arent there again. I don't see a "Cumulus.ini" folder this time.

A few things...

Code: Select all

I don't think this is the best location for CumulusMX install. It is suggested to be in the root i.e. C:\CumulusMX

The drop down NOAA months arent there again.
Possibly when the above issues are resolved the local dashboard links will work.

Enjoy,
Paul

Thank you. Would the connection issue be in the config settings? I did everything right from MacID, Ecowitt Key, ect I must be missing an option somewhere

EDIT: Actually its reading now and finding all missing data. Odd, maybe I just had to move the file to the C drive. Thanks Paul!

The NOAA previous years aren't there yet.. will post back tomorrow if I can't figure it out. Thanks!

Hi,
Odd, maybe I just had to move the file to the C drive.
Yes, I recall that issue in the past when installing in \Program Files folder caused an access issue, Glad you have CMX working.

If I recall correctly, you will need to make sure your Station Settings > Advanced Options > Records Began date is correct as that affects what is displayed.

Enjoy,
Paul

BINGO. I thought I had changed that. That was it. You're the best!
