From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Hi guys, I was running MX without issues but then decided to do a factory reset on PC.

Can you guide me to where I need to download the MX for first time? Or do I simply drag and drop the backup folders into the C drive and open MX?

Just a little confused to which link to use for a new download if I have to. Is it one of these?

Hi,
Can you guide me to where I need to download the MX for first time?
Yes, the second one https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Software#Current_Release is the latest CMX release.
I download and unzip any new release in a separate C:\CumulusMX-new_version_download folder.
Or do I simply drag and drop the backup folders into the C drive and open MX?
After making a copy of my existing, I usually just copy all of C:\CumulusMX-new_version_download\CumulusMX files/folders and paste in the working C:\CumulusMX
You should read the release notes to be aware off and understand the differences that may have been made in the new release(s) compared yours.

Enjoy,
Paul

Excellent. I may have done a little different. I basically just copied and pasted the backup files I had into the new version folder. (backup, data, reports, create missing, and there was a Cumulus configuration file that wasn't in the new download folder)

All good now. Even the "catch up" worked smoothly. Nice job guys! Thanks!
