Incorrect dew point calculation?

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Incorrect dew point calculation?

Post by mike_j_kelly »

The dew point calculation doesn't seem to be working on my Cumulus installation.

I've just installed a humidity sensor onto my Instromet station, and outdoor temperature and outdoor humidity readings are both making their way to Cumulus MX from my station - but the dew point doesn't seem right?

Attached image shows Outdoor Temp of 22.1C and Relative Humidity of 42% - which should give Dew Point of about 9C, but instead it is showing 21.6C. I have ticked the "Calculate dew point" option in the settings but doesn't seem to have resolved the issue.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks

Not that I know of, my test station uses that option and it is being correctly calculated. All the stations use the same common calculation routine when that option is enabled.
