Hi,
Having troube with the gauges page on my webpage which has not updated since this morning when I updated CumulusMX.
I have FTP'd all html files, .js files 'lib files to my server which show up as up to date. The main page works OK with current readings but I'm struggling with the Gauges page which won't update the gauge values and shows as offline.
https://www.calvertoncam.co.uk/weather/gauges.htm
Any pointers gratefully received.
Thanks
Martyn

In your Internet settings do you still have real-time FTP enabled, and realtimegauges.txt set to be generated and FTP'd?

Hi Mark,
Real time ftp enabled in the tickbox.
Realtime.txt specifically listed in filename box with Generate and ftp Transfer enabled
Realtimegauges.txt specifically listed in filename box with Generate and ftp Transfer enabled.
Upload interval set at 15 seconds.
Thanks
Martyn

Ok could you switch on debug and FTP logging for 5 minutes then post the latest MXdiags log file please?

Thanks Mark will do.
The 'realtimegauges.txt' is updating in CumulusMX but no new server version is appearing. Explains why I can see the working gauges on my local PC but not on my remote server. Just manually copied across a copy of that file and the newer values show.
Still offline though.
Ill debug now.
Thanks
Martyn

Both your realtime.txt and realtimegauges.txt FTP uploads are failing, but the reason, to me at least, is unclear why. Suggest you also upload the FTP debugging log as per Mark's request.

Hi David, I thought I had turned on the ftp logging as well.
Here is the latest log. Note there is no separate ftp log.

A wild guess - check on your server and see if you have files called r"realtime.txttmp" and "realtimegauges.txttmp" and they have zero length.
If they are present delete both files.
Sorry - your log shows you are not using file renaming (though you should if your server supports it)

Thanks for the FTP log, it appears your FTP server does not support ESPV mode.
Try disabling this mode in Internet Settings | Web/FTP Site | Advanced Settings

I'll clear the log, and start again tomorrow.
EPSV box checked to disable.
Post ftp log again in the morning.
Thanks for your help.

Guys, don't ask me why, don't ask me how but it's up and running again.
I am completely baffled, but have learned a little bit. Perhaps the tweaks mentioned by Mark and following a restart of Cumulus, all seems well at the moment.
Ill leave ftp logging on overnight and see what it says tomorrow.
Really sorry to bother you but It's good to know there's always help out there.
Kind regards
Martyn

Ah, yes, I should have said, disabling ESPV mode means you have to restart CMX as the real-time connection is persistent. (from next build you can just disable/enable real-time FTP to get it to take effect)
