Latest build 3184 can not connect to WMR200

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Latest build 3184 can not connect to WMR200

Post by frankben »

Hi,

Since I am using the latest version of cumulusMX I can't make contact with my WMR200 station, previously this was never a problem.
When I select the WMR200 and I restart cumulus I get the following error message.
When I choose WMR100 I can make contact, but then of course I get wrong data readout.
What could be the cause?

Kind regards
Frank

I see now in the logfile that the station type is not set!

I did choose WMR200 while doing the wizard setup.

Are you upgrading from a previous version of MX? If so, then you can just use your previous copy of Cumulus.ini.

That doesn't explain why your station type didn't save, though. I've not used the setup wizard for a while - is there a "save" button you should press before restarting MX?

So, when I choose the wmr200 from the drop down list during the setup wizard it says in the Cumulus.ini at [station] Type=3
If I change this to type=9 then everything works normally.
Type=9 is what it says when I choose wmr100.

It is a clean install and Yes there is a save button.

Hmm, the log files are saying the station type is to WM918 which corresponds to an ini file type value of 3.

The WMR200 should be type = 9

So does it work correctly with the type = 9 in the ini file?

It could be the wizard page html code is incorrect, could you check what it is set to in the main Station Settings screen (and what the ini file is set to as well)?

Yep, it is an error in the wizard and settings interface files.

If you replace the files in your folder with this zip, it should work correctly...
