Version 3184

Since updating to 3184 there has been an interesting change to how the gauges and data readings on the MX interface behave. every 20 seconds or so the gauges and data momentarily stop displaying before recovering to their previous values. ie the gauge dial rotate to zero and the numerical data values go to hyphens. This only last for a fraction of a second in every twenty seconds, but it's annoying. Anyone any ideas what could have happened?

Mark may comment when he gets back, but possibly to do with the change made in b3184
- Change: The "live" dashboard screens now refresh whenever new data is received, or every five seconds
Enjoy,
Paul

I didn't really understand this change as my interface pages already displayed live data without the need for a refresh.

Previously the data was updated every 3 seconds, regardless of whether it had changed or not.
Now the data is updated every time time data is received from the station (so every 2.5 seconds for Davis stations), or every 5 seconds whichever comes first. The 5 second update keeps the "clock" ticking for stations with infrequent updates.

I'm not seeing this behaviour, but I have switched to a WLL from VP2.
Are you using the default web socket updating? (changing this requires editing the file gaugefeed.js)
And it happens every 20 seconds exactly?

The gauges use the same data feed as the main index page, do you see that flashing to zero values as well?

Hi Mark,
I have the same experience in b3184 in both WiFiLogger and WLL. The WiFiLogger install is about every 20 seconds, and the WLL can be about 20 sec or sometimes 40+.
Attached are screen capture images of both dashboard and gauges, but these are just a split second capture of when the issue occurs.
The Temp etc. go to 0.0 and the Wind Run goes way up when it should be about 3.1 km.
Enjoy,
Paul

I get this behaviour with the gauges page and every 20 seconds, but the frequency can vary a little at times. The web settings are default.
