Drought

Post by HansR »

An interesting Copernicus related site beside the EFFIS (which I mentioned before): EDO - European Drought Observatory.

Note that the Interactive Drought Mapping also contains a map for the Copernicus FWI which is elaborated in EFFIS.

    Quite the opposite down here.
Into a very wet season it seems.

Tried to Pan the graph South, but it covers a limited range.
Wonder how it ties in with our Southern Oscillation Index which is currently high.

    http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/enso/hist ... what.shtml

Ties in pretty well with our flood season of '55, 76, 91, etc.

Thanks Phil. And btw, that climate section of the BOM site is pretty great. I could lose some hours there.
