Using SFTP

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

If it is your server, like you said in another topic, surely you can change the server config to accept the older protocols?

If you've got full control of the server then you will be able to.

SFTP may well work with a newer version, the issue is the newer versions do not work properly under Mono, so SFTP becomes a Windows only option.

Passive/Active mode is a FTP(S) thing, nothing to do with SFTP.

Another test, on my SSH server I switched off the plain old D-H key exchange methods, just leaving the EC methods.

Cumulus then reports a error - "Failed to negotiate key exchange algorithm." which is a bit more friendly than just chopping the connection. So maybe there is some other issue connecting to your SSH server.
