Misol Solar Weather Station

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Hi;
I am a newbie regarding weather stations but I've found out that Misol and Ecowitt are just about the same and they both connect to the GW1000. I just bought a Ecowitt station myself and it works great. Cumulus MX reads data directly from the GH1000. Ecowitt.com sells the GW1000 and also at https://weatherspares.co.uk/ (where I bought my Ecowitt station). Just be sure to get one with the same frequency as your station.

you will need to tell us what that Misol USB station is - a complete name and a picture would be helpful ....
the GW1000 (Misol) is a displayless console in itself receiving at 433 MHz from sensors transmitting at the same frequency.
If you want an overview, have a look at:
https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40730.0 (free registration required to see pictures)

Also we have to be clear on terminology: a weather station consists of a console (e.g. this GW1000) and sensors (indoor, outdoor) - often as a combination of sensors as an outdoor array. Many people confuse this and call the console station or the outdoor array station - that's wrong and leads to further confusion. A station = console + sensors, all parts together.

If a GW1000 can receive and process the data from a Misol branded outdoor array will depend on two things: 1) if the frequency of sender and receiver matches 2) if the outdoor array is a Fine Offset (clone) item or not
Misol do not sell only Fine Offset (clone) products.

And, the USB plug on the GW1000 in your picture is for providing power supply only - no data transmission via this USB plug.
