Good Morning,
I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 plus system linked to a Raspberry Pi with a meteo-Pi logger.
The complete assembly is running CumulusMX to a web server.
My question, can I link a Davis AirLink monitor into my setup without the need for weatherlink?
I can't find any suggestion that this is possible so it probably isn't but has anyone done it?
Many thanks
Dave

Cumulus will access your airlink independently of anything else.
Not sure what you are referring to by "weatherlink" as the term can refer to any number of Davis systems.

Re: Davis Airlink and Meteo-Pi
Thank you Mark for the reply.
From what I was reading it seemed that the only way to 'strip' data from the AirLink monitor was to access the Davis cloud which in turn would need to register an account with Davis and use their software.
If you are saying that the Airlink data can be interrogated directly by CumulusMX that would be perfect for what I would like to be able to do.
Thanks again
Dave

Re: Davis Airlink and Meteo-Pi
Cumulus will get current data directly from the device itself.
However if you want health, reception, or historical catch-up data then you will need to buy a subscription to weatherlink.com
Without that subscription, if you stop Cumulus there will be a gap in your data until you restart it.

Subscription is free unless you want to pay for a plan, but cmx will allow connectivity via the CMX GUI Extra Sensor Settings page.
