I upgraded Raspberry Pi a month or so ago.

I replaced 1gb model with 4gb model.

I am using the 2 year old genuine Rapberry pi power lead.

As a separate issue which might be related....

overnight CumulusMX shut down ....when I visited the screen in the morning the terminal window which was running cumulusmx was closed and the pi was up and running ready to go.

I think it would be prudent to change the power lead.

Other than the official Raspberry pi lead are there any suggestions for power lead ??

A RPi4B needs a minimum of 5 V, 3 A power supply, better more. More amperage just means more available capacity and not that the whole amperage is always run through the RPi. Only more watts are available for consumption.
At the same time the power supply needs to be voltage stabilized to avoid changes in the voltage caused by other consumers in the (electrical) network (e.g fridges, freezers etc.). So just a common 5 V mobile phone charger won't most likely be an appropriate device.
The power supply needs to be built for constant stable delivery of power as the RPi usually runs 24/7. Depending on the workload the official Raspberry power supply itself might not be sufficient ! I myself use a 3.5 A/5 V power supply for my RPi4B-4GB and RPi4B-8GB which sits behind an UPS (uninterrupted power supply) which provides a stable, constant voltage.
I had unexplainable drops-outs before which have disappeared with the setup I'm using now.
An electronically voltage stabilized power supply with sufficient (3.5-5 A) amperage will also do the job if you don't have an UPS or consider it too expensive to buy (even though there are other advantages which come with it).
