Hi Hans
Herewith external program settings. I don't think CMX was running. I will try again, but wait for your thoughts on settings.

Remove the realtime entry.
Change the Interval Program Parameters to UserAskedData.

The Airlink is implicit in the website so do not make that a separate call. Just run the website argument once per day.
Let me know how you get on.

Hi Hans
Thanks for reply. Have implemented changes as you instructed. It certainly seems simpler :D However, Airlink graphs still not updating, although table view is OK. :groan: I looked at files on the webserver and they seem to be updating, as far as I can tell. Now, another thing which might be solvable: I have corrupted the rainfall graph  I got the Def out of the examples and the results you can see on the website. I note that PaulMy has some nice AQ graphs, but he uses WeatherLinkLive which seems to be different.
Just had the Jubilee weekend here. The weather made our street party a bit soggy!

OK.
  1. First be aware that you did not configure inside humidity in CMX to be in the datafiles but you do have it in the chart (Home charts). Either include it in the datafiles (through CMX) or remove it from the chart (edit CutilsCharts.def). Javascript errors may block other execution blocks in unexpected ways.
  2. I did confirm that the datafile for the AirLink charts are uploaded correctly and that the dates in them run from 25 may - 1 june for the pm values and from may 31 - 7 june. So something is wrong and it seems the pm values are not properly updated in the database. Could you post your AirLink202206log.txt (data directory) so that we can confirm the data is logged correctly?

  1. Can you post your CUtilsCharts.def file?
  2. I really have no idea about what you are saying wrt the AQ charts of Paul. Do you have a link?

OK, that is clear to some extend.
  1. The AirLink does log correctly so I'll have to look deeper into that. It probably is a bug.
  2. The rain issue has to do with the same PlotVariable name that is used for both RECENT and DAILY charts on the same output definition. That is a bug.
I'll look into both and come back when I know what's going on/how to fix.

With respect to the rain: the keyword RainFall is the same for the DAILY/ALL and the RECENT and that causes confusion (as it did before with SolarRadiation). It is a kind of design flaw which is uneasy to correct technically to accommodate the same keywords in the two groups. The easy way out is to change the keyword. I changed it to DayRain for the DAILY/ALL keywords. The Wiki will be adjusted and it will be valid in the next release.

The AirLink different and I don't really understand what is happening here. It does cross the month boundary which seems to be the problem but with other installations there is no issue here and the last value plotted is 9h50 on the first of June (does that ring a bell?).

Looking at the AirLink202206log.txt you sent me I see it starts at 10:00. That can't be a coincidence ;)
I assume there are two AirLink logs one of which is read by CUtils and the other is being filled by CMX but does not reach CUtils.

I suggest you look at the files, the cause and - I think - it is best to merge both june log files (switch off CMX when you start editing those files and restart afterwards). Make sure the correct file can be read by CUtils.

Hi Hans,
The airlink log files I can see are under CumulusMX/data. Where would the other one be? My rollover is at 09:00 UHT (10:00 BST in the summer). My point about Paul's graphs is that he accesses them from the home graph menu. But he uses WLL (Davis hardware) ?? :? Regards Ted

So where are the data until 10 then?
Are they in the May logfile at the end? Could you send me that one as well?
And while we are at it: could send me your whole data directory so I can see what is in which file?

It could well be the 9am roll over although I think there are others who use the 9 am.
So far I don't see an issue there but I may be mistaken, I probably am :groan:

I still don't understand what you are trying to show me on Paul's site. I don't see AQ charts on the HOME charts and WLL has nothing to do with it: Cutils just uses the data and does not care where they come from.

Hi Hans
Yes, the readings for the first day of the month until 09:50 appear at the end of the preceding month.
Slight confusion regarding Komoka weather. Under 'Extra' > AirLink you get the standard CUtils graphs. But under Extra>extra sensors you get a plot more like the 'home' graphs. The Data directory is 50MiB, so too big to attach. Is this a clue?

Hi Ted,

Question is, is that only for the AirLink logs or for all datafiles?
(you guessed it: I do not use 9h00 rollover and you are the first with an airlink who does)

Aha... the extra sensor is the Ecowitt fine dust sensor and not an Airlink. The Airlink has more possibilities and is logged separately by CMX so because you have an AirLink, you will get the AirLink charts/table. The AirLink charts are not so much different I think, they just should work ;)

You should zip them up and then post. That should not be a problem, I would use that for debugging but anyway, let it go for now. I'll ask Mark some questions about the logs first.

Ted, find enclosed a beta for 6.8.4 (just copy the files into the utils/bin directory) and try it. If I made no mistake the AirLink chart should now be correct and update correctly.

@Hans,
Sorry to butt in but since my Extra Sensor data and graphs were mentioned I've had a look and see that both AirLink and Ecowitt Extra Sensors are out of date since last October

Both http://komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/index.html and http://komokaweather.com/cumulusmxwll/index.html (with beta v6.8.4) use the Davis AirLink. And one uses the Ecowitt 433MHz WH41 and the other the 915MHz WH41B.

I run cumulusutils.exe with UserAskedData daily but now trying by Interval (5-minute) and see that the FTP fails. It has been quite a while since I've done any settings or changes and have likely forgotten what I need to do.

The trends in the CumulusMX default template are current http://komokaweather.com/cumulusmx/tren ... airquality

Enjoy,
Paul
