Hi all,
My son in law[ MSc Computer Science etc] spent some time with my daughter [savvy computer user] down-loading and installing CMX with desk top icon to launch.
Regret that clicking said icon tells me that it is not not available.
What has happened. Can any one explain or offer a solution?
Expectant
Tony

Re: Cumulus MX Installed
Do you mean an icon to launch the executable or an icon to launch the web browser to look at cumulusmx?
For Windows:
To launch Cumulus executable from a desktop icon ,
1) use explorer to go into the directory that Cumulusmx is loaded into.
2) Right click on CumulusMX.exe and hold the right click.
3) Drag onto the desktop
4) Release right mouse button and in dropdown select "create shortcut here"
5) Double click Icon to launch the executable.
To see CumulusMX Gui
1) Open web browser
2) Type http://localhost:8998/
3) Control-D to bookmark page.
Or
1) Right click on desktop
2) select New
3) select Shortcut
4) Type http://localhost:8998/ into box
5) Overtype "New Internet Shortcut" with a name of your choice (e.g. CumulusMX)
6) Select Finish
For us to diagnose further if this fails...
1) Right click the icon you have created.
2) select properties
3) Either post a screen grab or describe what is in "Target" and what is in "Start in "
4) Tell us where Cumulus is installed.
Sorry do not know Apple instructions.....
