Editing today's rain total
My Great Dane was charging around the garden yesterday evening (think Scooby Doo running away from a ghost
) and bumped into the post holding my Davis VP2. This triggered a rain tip. 15 minutes later, I noticed the tip and used the "Edit -> Today's rain" option to remove the spurious tip. Although this does correct the "today" total, it didn't correct the "rain since midnight" total.

Saludos Freddie
I don't know if I have understood exactly the problem,
I believe that editing today's rain corrects exactly that: the rain that has been recorded since the start of the new day.
For the other days, as far as I know, you have to edit the dayfile.txt file.
I hope this can help you; otherwise, let me know
