Hello,
Already beat this to death getting my Windows machine to do local copy (all my errors BTW), now it seems I cannot get the syntax right for the Linux machine.
I have my Apache2 default page at "/var/www/MXWeather". I copied my web files from my Windows machine and can get to the 'old' web page with obviously stale data.
I tick the Local Copy option and give it the "/var/www/MXWeather" destination and it gives me a syntax error message. Message says to use a form: " This field should have pattern ^.*[/\\\\]{1}$ "
The working Windows local destination is "G:\MXWeather"
What the heck is that pattern?
Tried with the slashes the other way too. Didn't expect that to work and it didn't.
Help?
Wayne

You can have the Apache2 default location anywhere you like on the filesystem - it's a simple one-line change in the config.

Re: Local copy destination folder in Linux
Freddie - I understand about Apache2 files being at any chosen location, as I do use a different location in my RPi Apache2.
It is two different interpretations of the term "default", you mean the starting point of the search for web pages, I meant the Apache2 setting if it has not been altered.
Wayne - Because of this confusion, I will delete the content from my earlier post, but you can see alternative path I suggested in the quote in Freddie's second post, just note that I forgot to type the word "may" before "have misread".

Re: Local copy destination folder in Linux
Oh-ho! Success!
It needed/required the trailing slash.
Thanks for all the input. It is working now.
I will see if it works continuously on the Linux box (as long as I don't close the laptop cover
)
