Airlink strangeness

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Airlink strangeness

Post by Mapantz »

I noticed on my graph today, that another spike appeared, and then no data showing up on the realtime graph for nearly 3 hours. That data is from a 1 minute SQL table, but the data was still going in to the 5 minute SQL table without any issue.

I closed CMX down and reopened it, and data was going in to the 1 minute table again.

Sorry but there is absolutely nothing of any help in those log files.

All I can suggest is that you enable debug logging and leave MX running with that enabled and see if it happens again.

It looks like the problem is either with Davis, or the WLL itself..

These are the graphs on their website:

They occur if the internet drops out. In my case, I have been doing some networking, so a few disconnections were needed.

That is odd behaviour, why would you get a spike in the counts with a network disconnect!

Had to update the firmware on my router and my mesh system the other day. 4 reboots in total, each time, airlink values all go to 0 and then spike after reconnection.
