CumulusMX on Windows 7

I have brought out of retirement an old Windows 7 netbook and installed MX. When run I get an '0xc000007b' error.
My own programs run (they use there own 0cx) and does Cumulus1.
Visual C++ 2008 is installed. Does this need to be updated? If so to what level will Windows 7 take?

Thanks for the reply.
There are other problems as Win 7 is not installing any updates of the system including a Microsoft updater.
At least I know which level of C++ will run

That is because Win7 is no longer supported by MS.

I just searched Google using Visual C++ 14.28.29910 and found a download site from M$ so try that.

Eventually gave up. Only wanted to be able to run CMX 27/7 without window's doing an update (or something else) and shutting down. Just going to stick with windows 10

To have some control over updates in Windows 10 and Windows 11 you can set your internet connecton as a metered connection. Also you can pause updates for about 30 days on advanced settings under windows update. This is most effective if pausing is done just before the release of new updates at second tuesday of the month.

Gone down the road of pausing Win10, but going to look into the metered connection as old age ain't good at remembering when the pause will end.
Thanks for the info
