Sunshine and Air Quality Discrepancies

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Sunshine and Air Quality Discrepancies

Post by Mapantz »

I installed a mesh network in my house today, to take full advantage of my full fibre. The internet has been on and off a few times today due to tweaking the placement of the WiFi modules etc.

I've noticed that my sunshine hours are at 9.5 hours, despite it not being completely clear earlier this morning. In fact, the current sunshine hours add up to more than how much daylight there's been so far today.

AirLink values all dropped to zero, and then spiked when the internet resumed. Not sure why any of that occurred?

OK, I think I've figured out why the sunshine hours were too high..

When the internet came back on, Cumulus was already open, and of course, the WLL had sent the logged data. I closed Cumulus and changed the time in today.ini to the time when the internet went off, so I could catch up everything. I think it added more sunshine time to the total?!

As for the Air quality spikes, I don't know..

If you are rolling back, then it is not sufficient to just change the last logged time in today.ini. There are running totals and highs/lows that may need resetting as well. You really need to go back to the last backup which contains all the files as a consistent snapshot.
