Data input appears to have stoppe

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Data input appears to have stoppe

Post by access-mdb »

Yesterday I noticed that there had been a break in the data - about 50 minutes of data was lost. Just looked in the diagnostic log and the title of this message was what was being stated. This lasted for about 50 minutes, with just the hour change processing interrupting this. No other error messages I could see. I appreciate this is probably a 'how long is a piece of string' type question, but any ideas what might have caused this? I have an Ecowitt HP2551 - there's no break on the Ecowitt site. I was on my other PC and wasn't aware of issues with the internet.

Perhaps the HP2551 lost its connection to your network, but whatever the problem was if the data on Ecowitt.Net is correct (and assuming you are using the latest version of MX with Historic Data load from Ecowitt.Net), I would stop MX, rollback the data to the latest backup (daily or start up whichever is the latest) and then restart MX.

The historic data load should then plug the gap in your readings.

Thanks David, I have done this and the data is now there. But the monthly file is now at 5minute intervals, rather than the previous 10 minute. I hope that won't cause issues! First time I've used this at it was very quick and easy!

5 minutes is the standard used to store historic data on the Ecowitt.net site, so when you ask for historic data that is what you get. Once the data is downloaded, CumulusMx should revert to the standard data input i.e. in the case of HP2551 using Ecowitt Http protocol 20 seconds.
