755 chmod permission of ftp files

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

755 chmod permission of ftp files

Post by ChaserPeek »

Hi,

I need to have all ftp files of my VPS with 755 permission.
I think CMX upload to VPS all files with 600 permission.

I try to change permission of /my_cmx_folder in recursive mode, from 600 to 755, but after every upgrade, CMX upload new file with 600 permission :bash:

Do you have a solution for this one ? :groan:

thanks !

It is not CMX which sets the privilege, I think it is the FTP server/Linux.
I assume your VPS is managed by yourself so it's probably a configuration somewhere?

Hey Guys,

I'm solved: I unflag the setting "Enable FTP rename". :D

If flagged, this setting generate new file, before deleting old file. This sequence, reset the permission of the ftp files. :bash:
