Re: Recording v energy saving
My understanding was that hibernating would cause the same message to be sent from Windows to Cumulus as standby. I'd assumed it was working for you, but it must be a different message for hibernating.

Re: Recording v energy saving
Just tried hibernating my PC running Cumulus, and Cumulus shut itself down without any problems.

And finally........
Thanks to the efforts made by Steve, it looks as if my missing data was as the result of there being a blank line at the beginning of the oct08 log and in an attempt to write to the log a blank line was encountered and the data gave up writing to it and stopped, thus losing any data for filling the gap whilst Cumulus was off. I am about to upload 1.8.3. and start over again and see what happens. My thanks to Steve for unravelling the fog.
Where else would you get service and support like this eh fellers? (and fellerses)

It seems I have probably misunderstood the 'option'. I have just tried deliberately hibernating with Cumulus left running and it shut Cumulus down as a first step of the hibernation - IT WORKS!

Re: Recording v energy saving
It seems all is well. As the exact opposite of yesterday, all data has been recovered from an manual overnight Cumulus closedown and PC in standby state and has graphed without a break, this morning. Now using 1.8.3.
Its done exactly what it says on the tin.
