Third Party Uploads Struggles

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Third Party Uploads Struggles

Post by andyzot »

Hello all.
I've just moved over to CumulusMX from the old version, and on the face of it I have most of what I want working.
I've got FTP uploading to my website, all the sensors are functioning as expected but I'm struggling to get the 3rd party uploads working.
I've enabled APRS which is working fine but my WoW, Metoffice isn't uploading, on checking it seems to have stopped a while ago, even with the old version, I've entered the correct ID and Key but it's not working.
To test things, I created a new Weather Underground account, entered the correct details but that's not uploading either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Are you really running Windows 7. In that case you might try this registry hack.

Hi Hans, yes - Windows 7, I use it for compatibility with certain radio ham software.
Thanks for the reply, I made a few tweaks and I'm reporting ok now to Weather Underground, even after applying the reg update I'm still not reporting to the Metoffice.
I created a new site too, just keeps saying 'this site is not reporting any observations'.
I'm thinking of taking Cumulus over to a Pi, but that won't be for a while.

Well, the MetOffice Wow is known to intermittently fail to accept. So wait a day and check again.
Catching up is usually/often giving failures.

OK thank you.
I've been having trouble logging onto their site so maybe there's an issue.
