NOAA Threshold not saving

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

NOAA Threshold not saving

Post by Cambium »

Sorry for the threads guys. 1st I wanna thank Mark and whoever is behind this new build and making Cumulus "catch" up for Ecowitt stations after shutting down. Awesome!

I followed all the steps and set up the configiration with the API, App Key and MacID. Will test it tonight/tomorrow.

So, When I save the settings for NOAA Threashold it's not showing up in the NOAA report. Specifially the Max temp comparison 1: I want at 40F, It keeps saying Saved successful but reverting back to 80 after checking the NOAA report page..

Attached the Diags. Ignore the "Data input appears to have stopped". It's fine now.

I just tested it and it seems to be working. Are you saying that the value has reverted back 80F on the settings page as well?

You have regenerated the reports? That is manual process if you check them any time before rollover - and you will have to manually regenerate the reports for all previous months if you want them to reflect the new threshold.

Looks like its not working again. It's saying settings saved, I clicked regenerate report, I tried to restart it. I downloaded the latest build but for some reason its not changing the threshold max/min temps.

After you have made the settings change do these changes appear in Cumulus.ini?
Then after stopping CumulusMX, before restarting are the changes still in Cumulus.ini?

Enjoy,
Paul

Not saving in the ini file. It says saved on the NOAA settings though. Even when I go to refresh the page it reverts back to the original thresholds.

Not even updating the Site Details (name, city, state). Odd

Should "Create NOAA files after daily rollover" be checked off?

Hi,
Presumably you have all the files from current CumulusMX release installed including all the full CumulusMX\interface, and not tried to update selective individual files?
I do vaguely remember something similar a while back, and also something about the browser. Try opening localhost:8998 in another browser, i.e. Edge.

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi Paul. Yes, all I did was download the latest version. I delete and drag the data and reports folder into the new MX folder.. but thats it.

Your browser may have cached old versions of the interface pages. Have you tried opening the interface in an incognito/private tab/window?

Ok, so apparently... when I checked off "Create NOAA files after daily rollover" the settings saved and reflected. All is good now. I'll keep it checked off I guess. Maybe it was something I missed in the instructions.

I unchecked it to test it and it wasnt saving... So I'll make sure it stays checked off.

Thanks all....again. lol
