Website local copy problems

Hi,
I am running Cumulus on a RPi and have a webserver sat on another RPI. I have a network folder set up as smb://otherPI.local/pi/weather but just can't seem to get the syntax right for the 'Local copy destination folder path' within internet settings.
Also, the network connection is forgotten if I reboot, even though I tick the 'Remember forever' box when connecting to the share.
Any thoughts folks?

Have you 'mapped' the remote drive on the CumulusMX RPi to the share on your server?
A line like this should be added to /etc/fstab and a mount -a should mount the device (and it will be re-mounted each re-boot).
//nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn/share-directory /mnt/SOMENAME cifs credentials=/home/pi/credential-file.crd,rw,noperm,iocharset=utf8,user,auto,vers=1.0 0 0
where nnn.nnn.... is the ip address of your server /mnt/Somename is the mount point on your local (CumulusMX Rpi) and the credentials=/home/pi/credential-file.crd is a pointer to the log in information of your share on the remote Rpi server.
The file copy is then simply to /mnt/Somename/filename.ext on your local (CumulusMX) Rpi.

Hi.
Thanks for that. I did map the drive, but used the desktop rather than the command line. I'll give your reply a go.

Why not run CumulusMX and a web server on the same Raspberry Pi, then you won't have this kind of problem.
I am running CumulusMX and UIMX and a NGINX web server here on a 128Gb SSD usb dongle that is in the RPI3B. Has been working for years without any problems.
