That would be very helpful IMO Stevesteve wrote:I've managed to write to the memory (in a failed experiment to set the station clock), and I know which location holds the current interval, so I could try just writing to that to see if that's all that's needed.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Thanks Steve, I hope you will be able to work it out, as Gina says it would be good not to have to use Easyweather. I guess the manufacturer is not going to too helpful if you straight out asked them for details on their station. Naturally they will want people to use their software. I wonder if anyone has just plain asked them though, may work.

I've asked them. A number of people have asked on my behalf, including a retailer. No reply.AndrewNZ wrote:I wonder if anyone has just plain asked them though, may work.

Re: WH1081PC discontinued at Maplins
Thank You for inventing the Cumulus software, thank you for allowing me into membership of your group,I have been investigating how I could bring real time & stored weather data to my computer, your Forum & its members findings, answers & guidance opinions shaped my own, thank you.paricular thanks to member iandrews for pointing out the stock holding at Maplins London, near Liverpool Street station,& the part numbers & price,I got intouch with a nice chap at Maplins London (Daniel) & he confirmed that 4 of the N96GY are still on the shop floor at £59.99,but he is in London,I am in Doncaster 180 miles away!So after a discussion he suggested I ring Maplin at Head Office,a nice helpful girl answered my call & checked stock of the N96GY in my surrounding area (the N96GY is discontinued at £59.99,& now replaced & on sale in stores & on the web with the N96FY at £119.99) she pointed out that the N96GY was available at Sheffield (1 unit),London (4 unit),Leeds (1 unit),Manchester (3 unit),Wakefield (1 unit),so I thanked her & then phone Sheffield to reserve stock, the nice chap Philip pointed out that the Sheffield N96GY had been reserved by someone on the 27th. & they had not left a phone number,so he took mine & said if they did not buy it by the 5th.he would ring me & then it could be mine,I thanked him & rang nice person Claire at Wakefield, she put their N96GY to one side,& I went 22 miles & picked it up & two packs of Ever Ready batteries,Buy One Get One Free,at £2.49 a pack, the staff & manager knocked me another £5 off at point of sale,I inspected the box contents on the floor of the shop, was happy paid,& thanked all, then went to my car & inspected all,it was was raining so settled down to fit batteries & plug things in to start gathering data in the car on the way home, sadly I discovered the yellow CD with the software was shattered in 10 pieces,so I went back in & reported this, the helpfull staff organised with Luke at Head Office Technical to e-mail the software,& by the time I got home it was there for me,by the time I put all on the kitchen worktops it was apparent that the N96GY DOES NOT have the atomic clock facility,(The icons are present in the time area of the touch screen but greyed out),I will learn to live with this!!I have stuck it all together & inserted it all into a gutter fallpipe gathering data, await a fixing near my TV aerial on my chimney stack,I will post my findings when I have done so & start to gather data from a more stable & permanent siting,so I guess there may be others like me who may take the plunge,so Good Luck, there are still N96GY units at Maplins, get another £5 knocked off,get top quality batteries,& if you have any Maplin vouchers get that deducted also, once again thank you members,Thank you Steve,Regards,Ray
