Did you pay a subscription for the live streaming via Blue iris? And you're able to embed your own livestream in to your website?

I am finally getting FTTP installed next Tuesday, so this is a route I may take..

I'm testing out my Hikvision camera with Blue Iris.. I can get the live stream in to Blue Iris, but how do I get a URL to view it in a browser? The one I tried, gives me an XML tree

Code: Select all

I've got an order in for 1gb up/down fiber for the end of the month. At the same prices as my current cable internet of 150mbps down/10 mbps up. I'm hopeful it lives up to speed.

Hi Mapantz,

Sorry late reply, I pay no subscription just a full one off purchase price for BIris.
I run Blue Iris as a service at startup.
Have you forwarded the port for Blue Iris on your Router, I use 5555 (Both Internal/External). I do run a static IP address from my ISP, but that is not necessary.
I also have a DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) setup on my Router, service comes free with my router.
With that setup, the following with correct DDNS should work.

Code: Select all

Kind Regards,
Tony

mm, unsure what's going on there. Do you have the Webserever and WebCast settings setup in Blue Iris.

What do you get when you use : "http://mapantz.ddns.com:5555/ui3.htm"

Streaming perfectly Tony.

I use OBS to stream mine on YouTube, mainly if there's a risk of storms spreading up from France.

I haven't tried IPTimelapse to stream - does it use much in the way of CPU resource?

Hi HansR and Mapantz,
It ended up being very high in CPU usage, so have shut down.
My old Haydes Canyon does all the heavy work including WebCam IpTimelapse and WxSim Forecast and Analysis as well as BlueIris Livestream (though it too hangs a fair bit http://beaumaris-weather.com/camlivestream.php) and other stuff, So was fairly taxed to begin with.
I have used OBS in the past, though had similar recourse usage issues.

Thanks for the responses, appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
Tony

Not surprised

The new link works fine though.
