Could anyone help me understand why my annual and monthly rainfall totals are not displaying correctly, and how I may go around fixing the issue?
It was working fine until Jan 2022 rollover, and seemed to be working fine until the last few days - although truth be told, I may have missed it if it stopped working over the last two days.
I have been starting and stopping CumulusMX a bit today to make some other tweaks, but it was wrong before that. I only noticed that the wrong value was being displayed this evening. I doubt it's a result of restarting CMX, but it *may*(?) correct itself during the midnight rollover?
As you can see from the screenshots, the current rain counter, start of day rain counter and Today's Rain in Today's Rain Editor doesn't match the dashboard (and my customised website's display). The values in Today's Rain Editor and the dayfiles/Jan22log.txt are spot on for this years & month's observed rainfall.
Nothing jumps out to me from the log files, I'm running Cumulus MX 3.13.3 b3148 (a bit old I know), but I see nothing in the update logs about such a rainfall issue.
My Dayfile and monthly logfile seem correct too.
Also, as a tangent - I attach some screenshots of my customised site I'm working on.. I'm aiming for a text-heavy streamlined site for a custom display unit on my Pi Logger. It still needs some further aesthetics work to the charts, but is live and functioning.

Re: Annual and Monthly Rainfall not displaying correct values
It looks like everything was working fine until your run of CMX starting at 2022-01-04 11:11:54
Then it could not read the values from dayfile.
Your screen shots show you have the dayfile open in spreadsheet package and that has changed the date formats. I suspect you have saved the dayfile from the spreadsheet and corrupted the previous entries so CMX can only read the rainfall from the last day (or two now) that have been added since.
Editing the dayfile in a spreadsheet and saving it back again is a REALLY BAD IDEA, please use a decent text editor instead.

Re: Annual and Monthly Rainfall not displaying correct values
Spot on, thanks for your reply.
I was changing the windspeed from m/s to mph, and did the calculations in the day file. Which I did in Excel.
A momentary lapse in concentration when extracting and saving the dayfile back to text meant I forgot to de-convert the year format back.
It's a rare error for me. I rarely work on live data, choosing to take a copy, make the changes, then recommit the changed files back once validated. But I took a shortcut today.
Thanks for your help - it's now all resolved.
