I'm trying to fix the dayfile and it keeps coming with an error but I can't see what's wrong. Attached is a file with the error line from the MXdiags and the line specified in the error - with the two lines before and after. I can't see why the line is wrong - can anyone see what I can't
please?

Re: Error in dayfile
I presume line 561 in your dayfile.txt is for date 07/01/2017 is that correct?
Looking at the 5 days data you have shown that looks ok, however, and I may be wrong, I had thought dayfile.txt always is format with 2 digits for year like dd/mm/yy Are all your years in 4 digits?
Does the Dayfile data display correctly for that date in your Dashboard Data Logs > Dayfile tab?
Can you highlight, copy those lines gain and add within the </> code display like this as that will be much easier to look at
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Error in dayfile
Thanks Paul, yes it's 2017 from my Fine Offset I had then. Interesting about the year format. I see that the dayfile's data for yesterday is formatted with yy, not yyyy, but the column heading says dd/mm/yyy, which is why I changed the years. I suspect it copes with both formats.
I've looked at the dayfile in the dashboard and that date is definitely wrong. I've tested the line but putting into Excel and converting text to commas - that converts it perfectly. I then typed that data by hand, and still the error persisted. This led me to believe that the conversion of the year from yy to yyyy might be the culprit, so I manually changed the year to 17 and now it works. So I was misled by the header in the dayfile viewer to change the year format and one date value caused a problem. What is it about 07/01/2017,0 that screws the data, but 07/01/17,0 doesn't? And no other date has the problem!
I won't change any of the year formats back as they all (bar one) seem to work. Unless, of course, someone says they have to be yy. But if I have to manually insert any days, they will be yy.
Cheers
Malcolm

Re: Error in dayfile
OK, I found another example of the problem after all, so I've changed the years to yy format - now no error and I can now see January's NOAA report, well its start anyway.
Thanks again Paul, you may not have found the error but you pointed me in the right direction.

Re: Error in dayfile
The year format is two digits in the dayfile.
To find the original error I think you would have to post the whole file for examination rather than extracting parts of it.
I'll get the editor text fixed for the next release.
