I have CMX set to send an email if a high gust is recorded. CMX locked up not long ago, and then crashed:

Hmm, it shouldn't have crashed, that is a caught error.
I take it the Send Test Email also fails?

Just tried test emails on both my Win10 & rPi installs & both Ok.

I would try removing mono-complete in its entirety, and then reinstall mono-complete.

OK, might consider this even if it will interrupt my weather monitoring for several minutes

sudo init 6
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo init 6
sudo apt-get install mono-complete

I'm no mono expert, and the trace doesn't really give me much of clue what is causing the crash. But it is in Mono rather than Cumulus.
You did definitely copy the all the dlls from distribution zip?

I did use my standard Cumulus MX upgrade steps
Get the zip file to the raspberry
Backup current CMX
Code: Select all
sudo rsync -av --delete CumulusMX/ CumulusMX_3154/
Ctrl-C to terminate CMX
Code: Select all
sudo rsync -av --delete CumulusMX/ CumulusMX_3154/
mono -V
Mono JIT compiler version 6.8.0.105 (Debian 6.8.0.105+dfsg-3.2 Mon Jul 12 07:04:24 UTC 2021)
i.e. raspbian bullseye version.

Did this work ok on the previous release?
Could you upgrade to the
latest version of mono?
I am running 6.12.0 and do not see any problems

@mcrossley I'm on Mono 6.8 and don't have this happening.

I do think that I did verify Email Server Settings some time back.
Give me some time and I'll spin up an other server, VM or RPI.
There is one big advantage with Ecowitt GW1000, more than one can listen

Something is "corrupted" on the old RPI.
Send Test Email OK on virtual bullseye using mono 6.8.0.105
