Build 3153 Error

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Build 3153 Error

Post by KarlS »

I installed the new 3153 build and after the restart I received the "Error - Index was outside the bounds of the array". Pls see attached log. I reverted to 3152 and its running fine again.

That must be GW1000 specific then.
No problem with me (Davis VP2+)

It is working with my GW1000 - I use the HTTP (Ecowitt) station type.

Did you do a full copy of the distribution to your system? I had something similar a while ago - it was due to a file that I missed out when copying the distribution.

For updating I use Hans' InstallCMX utility and I DON'T use HTTP. Maybe that's the problem??

I use my own tool all the time with every update. Code is public if you wish to check.
Can't imagine that's the problem but if you distrust it, copy all files by hand.

If your device worked before and you did not change it? Then it should make no difference I assume, but that is up to Mark to make a statement.

Sorry Hans, my last post wasn't clear enough. I didn't mean your utility to be the problem. I've been using it ever since you published it. However, could not using HTTP with my Ecowitt station be the problem?

Your MXdiags file says that the GW1000 is attached to a WH65 sensor - which is what I have - but then there is a line :

2021-11-09 07:38:32.594 PrintSensorInfoNew: WS80 sensor detected, changing the update rate from 10 seconds to 4 seconds

This is another set of sensors and this will interfere with the data collection from the WH65.

If you have two GW1000s then you need to use the WS View app to disable one of the two sensor groups from the GW1000. If you only have one GW1000 (or equiv) the you need to disable the station you don't want. I have two stations and two GW1000 and two instances of CumulusMX running on my system.

Can you switch on data logging please, that will show me the data coming from your GW100 and I'll be able to see where it is going wrong.

@philpugh: I have no idea why the log file first identifies my sensor array as a WH65 only to correct it to WH80 a few lines later. This has never bothered me before since I actually have a WH80 (Solar Powered Ultrasonic Anemometer Sensor Package) installed and not a WH65. Anyway, whatever the number, CumulusMX was working fine before the recent update. I'm sure Mark will figure this out soon :)

I released a new patch - just the CumulusMX.exe if you already have 3153 installed - to fix this.

My apologies, I got too greedy grabbing data from the response!
