Rasperry Pi Bullseye

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

As the x64 Raspberry OS build is still in beta, and the memory benefits even on a 4GB pi are marginal (though there are general performance improvements from the benchmarks I've seen) I haven't bothered.

Do you connect to a Davis WLL? There is a memory leak in the mono code for network sockets when connecting to WLL. I would have a Cron job that restarts MX once a week. That way you should be okay.

It's been there for a while - @mcrossley noticed it, so he might have details. Doesn't look like mono will be fixed in a hurry.

It's a permanent "feature" of Mono. It was bug reported to the devs a couple years ago and still not fixed!

I just restart it manually every couple of weeks or so. With 2GB of memory it takes a while to fill it, plus I have configured another 1GB of swap space (Raspberry OS defaults to 100MB iirc)

For what its worth I am running my RPi v4 with bullseye O/S in an Argon One M2 housing with a Transcend MTS830S 128 GB M.2 2280 SATA III 6 Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive.

I know it is overkill for the CMX/ CUtils applications but it is lighting quick and given the fact that updates occur every couple of weeks, rebooting the RPi is part of my update process so any Mono memory loss is never an issue.
