Wind Data from GW1100C is not in decimal format
I am using the latest b3152 to download from the Aercus Weather Ranger/GW1100C. The wind data saved in the log file is a lot less than the station/EasyWeatherIP is showing and also only in whole number. The log file entries in position 5 and 14 do not contain .00. Via the calibration settings I can get the data closer. WS View shows the data in decimal.
Is there another setting to make CMX save the data in decimal format.

The whole numbers may be explained by the settings in:- SETTINGS / STATION SETTINGS / GENERAL SETTINGS / UNITS / ADVANCED OPTIONS
In there you can set the number of decimals to display - I believe the default is 0.
With regards to the lack of some data I can't help - but setting the data logging option for a few minutes and uploading the corresponding MXdiags text file may assist.

Thanks Phil, now reading as decimal. Will do further checks myself and try the multiplier to get closer to the station reading from EasyWeatherIP. Thanks again

Re: Wind Data from GW1100C is not in decimal format
While wind is now getting close to EW. BUT
the rain that fell today is not registering atal.
Have attached the diag files from today with sections of the logfile where CMX was started and continuing from morning download of EW (Logs.txt)
Have been all over the Setting page including ticking extra sensor with no joy

Have you done the calibration in the Weather Ranger, or the GW1100, or both?davepaterson wrote: ↑Fri 05 Nov 2021 7:33 pm I am using the latest b3152 to download from the Aercus Weather Ranger/GW1100C. The GW1100 should supply the calibrated readings to CMX. Is sounds as if maybe you have only made the calibration change on the station itself?

The GW1100 is reading the rain correctly it's just CMX that's not getting the data. CMX did get the year data as I had entered that into the GW1100

Re: Wind Data from GW1100C is not in decimal format
CMX uses the Rain Year figure to calculate all rainfall.
In the log files that appears to be set at 778.9 mm until 15:04 on 6th when it increases to 779.2 mm (so a 1 tip increase) and remains at that value for the rest of the logs.
The same for the Rain Month, Rain Week, and Rain Day values they all remain the same apart from that one tip. Same for the rain rate, it is at zero apart from that one tip.
So CMX is reflecting what the GW1100 is sending it. Perhaps try a power cycle of the GW1000?

Still the same after a restart. CMX dashboard /NOW and TODAY/YESTERDAY only show the .01 which was from the EW file CMX was added too, the year rain only shows in the diag startup. WS View shows all day/month/year
Will do a full reboot of the GW1100 tomorrow and see what happens and will update form.

Re: Wind Data from GW1100C is not in decimal format
There had been 0.01ins of rain in the early morning. Did a full reboot of GW1100 and entered the rain data (day, week, year) & calibration. Removed and reinstalled WS View which came up with the rain/calibration setting from the GW1100. Did a clean restart of CMX but nothing showed either in logfile or dashboard. From WS View I resaved the rain data which was already there. Restated CMX and the .01 showed in the logfile and the dashboard which also showed the .01 in the month/year which is more than it did yesterday which is a start.
Going to wait for the wet stuff (poss. tomorrow) rather than going back up the ladder and will see what happens.

Re: Wind Data from GW1100C is not in decimal format
CMX was not on overnight. This morning Live Data had cleared the Rain Day. CMX on start up still showed the 0.01 for rainfall in the Dashboard, High,Month and Year had returned to 0. Between 11:45 and 12:30 0.03ins had fallen. Live Data displayed the rain and updated all but there was no change to CMX. I saved the data in WS View but this time it made no change to CMX. I shut all down and went into the network connection for the GW1100 and saved the rain data but on CMX restart there was no change and was closed down. The GW1100 has version V2.0.6 firmware. As a faint chance something was wrong with CMX I deleted all and downloaded a new CMX (3152).All rain data was now at 0 until I did a save from WS View and this time the day, month, year went to -0.01 although the rain rate was at .19 and followed Live Data correctly down to 0. Whether the CMX reload was a lucky dip or the old Service Engn. mind but at 20:33 the bucket tipped again and the data went from -0.01 to 0. Via Live Data I saved the current rain data which also updated the CMX files although the Dashboard Month/Year only show what fell today. So hopefully all is now on track.
