Wh1081 - USB port type
Does this need a USB 2 port, or will it work with USB 1.1? I ask as I'm thinking about sourcing an old PC to run it 24x7 - the one I'm using right now only has USB 2 so I can't use it as a testbed. The documentation (such as it is!) doesn't mention this. It matters if I end up using an old laptop - if it's some sort of desktop I can always add a USB 2 card if necessary.

Re: Wh1081 - USB port type
HI, the WH1081 has a very similar design to the WH1080 (minus the radio controlled clock) so I assume the console unit is the same.
Nowhere does it say in the manual that it needs USB2 so I assume it will work with USB1 with no problems.
Best thing it to just load Cumulus 1 on the intended machine and give it a try; but I'd be very surprised if it didn't work.
Mike.

I don't have the intended machine yet - I'd like to know what it needs before I spend any money...

Re: Wh1081 - USB port type
Yes it will work on USB 1.1, this is what my 'steam powered' laptop uses as its ports.
In fact I have the base station on a 10m USB extension cable that consists of a 5m USB powered extender from the laptop which terminates in a plug in USB powered hub. Into the hub are plugged the FO base station USB which is on a plain 5m USB extender and also a Logitech webcam on a plain 5m extender. All running through a USB1.1 port with no problems.
