I am currently running successfully with Release 3.8.4 b3094.
I have just done a trial upgrade to 3.13.4 using the start/stop script with a downloaded zip file.
The upgrade process appeared to work OK.
I noticed that Cumulus.ini was missing at the end of the upgrade so copied my functioning version from a backup.
I fired up the new version of Cumulus and the dashboard was not displayed.
I then went to the settings menu and all of the settings were empty.
So I went through the setup wizard which terminated with error 0 on the last page and no Cumulus.ini was saved.
I have repeated this a couple of times with the same results, just in case I had missed a step. Nothing in cumulusmxsh.log offers any clues to what is going wrong
I would really welcome some advice on how best to deal with this.
Thanks
ERIC

Re: Release 3.13.4 (Build 3149) Cumulus.ini disappearing
Is cumulusmxsh still supported? A lot has changed in MX between 3094 and 3149, so perhaps there's something in there that cumulusmxsh can't handle. Have you tried upgrading the recommended way - moving your existing installation, downloading the zip file and expanding it, and then copying in your existing Cumulus.ini, data folder, Reports folder (if used) and any local customisation you may have done.

Re: Release 3.13.4 (Build 3149) Cumulus.ini disappearing
I'm still using cumulusmxsh here. When I am upgrading I stop cumx then do a backup (using -b -z parameters) then copy over all files from the new archive into my cumulusmx folder. Then I restart the script. I've not had any issues at all though I always upgrade when a new version comes out.
Since if you are upgrading from 3.8.4 b3094 to 3.13.4 you will need to read EVERY change since then in case something was missed out which is affecting the startup proceedure.

Hi,
Thank you all for your responses. I have a couple pf issues that I suspect are not helping. I am running an unsupported version of Raspian and also an old version of MONO. apt-get update and upgrade fail because of the old version of Raspian, so I am going to do a complete rebuild on a newer Raspberry Pi that I have and then move the data over once I am satisfied everything is working OK. I will let you know how I get on.

yeah mono will be a problem if running an old version no doubt. I am running mono 6.8.0.105 at present with Unbuntu 20.04.3 LTS.
