Mix of Airlink and Extra Sensors logging on/off

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Mix of Airlink and Extra Sensors logging on/off

Post by HansR »

I had switched my Logging Extra Sensors to off.
Then I changed something in the AirLink configuration and saved that (the IP address). That apparently did switch Logging Extra Sensors to on.
(I have no other explanation for what happened).

I think this is erroneous and confusing because the Airlink has its own logfile and its own on/off switch.
So even when falling under the menu Extra Sensors, the AirLink parameters should not influence the Logging Extra Sensors on/off switch.

Its not enabling AirLink that switches extra logging on, but enabling either of the HTTP protocols.

Now I admit it just enables the logging no matter which sensors you select and that could be refined as not all the available options will log in the extra file.

OK.

Right, logfile dependent!
And maybe keeping those on/off choises together (either on program level or on extra sensor level)

Thnx
