I followed the Wiki years back, that's why I am here..
<#presstrend> has always worked; ie "Falling Quickly"
But it doesn't work anymore, it just returns "Pressure Trend"

My only thought is you have overridden the default strings in a copy of strings.ini?

Lazyness? I'm here to report something that was working fine, but now it isn't. Spare me the lecture.

Code: Select all
$pressTL = "991.3"; // today's low pressure
$presstrend = "Falling quickly"; // pressure trend in words - values can be set in the 'strings.ini' file (for use by JavaScript gauges, values cannot be changed)
$presstrendenglish = "Falling"; // simple pressure trend - Rising/Falling/Steady
I downloaded my php webtags at 14:15 on 3.13.3 and as you can see it is returning the correct data.

No idea what is going on, but the api call still returns:
Even after updating to the latest version.
I don't use a strings.ini either, so i have no idea.

OK, with that capitalisation I have found it.
Do you have "Cumulus pressure names" enabled in Station Settings => Common Options
The Davis does not provide pressure trend strings. But if your station type is set to Davis VP2, that should automatically use the Cumulus pressure names no matter what that setting value.

No, I don't have that setting enabled.
That's something I have never enabled, as I haven't needed to.

If you are using the VP2 or WLL station then you should not have to, that will override it.
I'll have to setup my test rig as a VP2 and look at this (the WLL is working OK), that bit code hasn't been changed afaik since Steve stopped developing it...

I've enabled that setting, and I have the correct text in there now.
