As another reference point, I tried setting an action with parameters via the AI and it accepted it ok.

No, I did not do a forceful reload, but I never used the Alarm settings page in the AI before, so how could there have been any old scripts in a cache.
Perhaps a script shared between pages? It never hurts to do a forced refresh before reporting a problem. Caching strikes often.

My browser history shows me that I did look at other AI pages (that I have also looked at before the upgrade) then navigated to the Alarm settings page, so that could be solution.

Only time can tell if I manage to remember this advice in future.

Glad the AI works perfectly well for everyone else. I know using technology is bad for me.

Just for the record, I thought I would try using the AI on my RPi again. This time I pressed control and reload which i understand should do a forced refresh, then I tried to do another edit (change whether latched) and once again on AI I saw the same message:
Error: 500(error) - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
The same edit again works on the standard interface giving me "updated okay" message.

I conclude there is actually a problem with my AI installation. I can live with that, if I just want to view data I will use AI, but to change settings I will use the standard interface.

(I am finally having the major work done at my home that I have been constantly requesting from when I moved here just before pandemic, so it is best to focus on observing that and forgetting about anything cumulus related for a few weeks).

Hi Neil,

I was looking at the Dayfile editor in Build 3202 and noticed that it only displays up to 'Chill Hours'. Both 'High 24 Hour Rain' and 'High 24 Hour Rain Time' are not visible.

Regards,
Trevor

Hi Trevor

I’ll check it out today, but as I have had a major rPi failure, it might not be done as quickly as usual.

Neil.

Please find an update to the affected file that will solve the problem. Please note there is a 'ReadMe DayfileViewer' readme file providing instructions on how to use the enclosed update.
DayfileViewer Update.zip
The zip contains the required js file which need to be uploaded to the ai.CumulusMX/js/ folder replacing the existing js file of the same name. Alternatively you can upload a complete ai.cmx from the Wiki.

Hello Neil, just tried the FTP Now option with the graphs tick from the alt interface but all it says is "error". Try it from the standard dashboard and it works fine.

Hi

I have fixed the problem but as Mark has released build 3203, I'll just check through that to se if I need to change anything else before uploading the update.

In the meantime if you want to manually correct the issue, the correction is to the 'utils_all.js' script. The line "/api/utils/ftpnow.json" has changed. It should be as shown below:

Code: Select all

    $("#startFtp").click(function(event) {
	$('#ftp_status').text('Running...');
	$.post(
	    "/api/utils/ftpnow.json",
		{data: "{'dailygraphs':" + $('#dailygraphs').prop('checked') + "}"},
	    ).done(function (response) {
		$('#ftp_status').text(response.result)
	    }).fail(function (jqXHR, response) {
		$('#ftp_status').text(response)
	});
	timeOut("ftp_status");
    });
You may notice I have also moved the 'timeOut()' function call to the end. This is optional.

Hi all

Following on from Marks update build 3204, please find attached the required update to the AI. Please note that the change involved enhancements to the MySQL utilities page. I am unable to test that this actually works as I do not maintain a local CumulusMX mysql database. There is no reason to believe that it won't work as the code has not been modified. If anyone can test and confirm I would be grateful.
ai.cmx b3204.zip
Enjoy.

Hi all

Having now installed mySql on by CumulusMX system I have tested the MySQL Settings page and found an error in the update monthly script. The zip below is a full installation with an updated ReadMe file. I still haven't been able to test the mySql utilities.
ai.cmx b3204b.zip
Enjoy.

Hi

I was aware that this was in the pipeline but seeing as I now have Covid, it might take a few days to get the necessary upgrade to the AI out there.
