Weird interaction with b3145

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Weird interaction with b3145

Post by philpugh »

I have just downloaded b3145.

I use WinSCP to copy it to my RPi system(s)

I copied it to my PiZeroW (Davis VantageVue) without problems.

I copied it to my main system (PI4 with two instances of CumulusMX together with MariaDB and NginX web server)

First instance (my second GW1000) worked very well.

When I tried to copy it to my main GW1000 WinSCP/Windows Defender flagged a severe trojan and deleted CumulusMX.exe.

It's a false positive (pretty sure of that) but the only way I got it to run on the main GW1000 was to duplicate(via WinSCP) the version running on the other GW1000 into the relevant directory.

I don't know what the issue is (WinSCP / Windows Defender?)

Just a heads up for people having a similar issue.
