Cumulus MX and Raspberry Pi 4B rev1.4

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Good afternoon

My dasboard, now, Gauges.... works ok!!

But now, when I try to see gauges (for example) in a browser (home/Pi/CumulusMX/webfiles/gauges.htm) I can't see the information

I think I have configured correctly "Config wizard", "program settings", "internet settings",... It is surely silly, but I don't see where the error can be

if someone can help me.

Another thing, I can't send elementary the template data to my website either as I did with Cumulus.. maybe is the same or something similar

Thank you!

If you are using your browser to access the gauges page through the file system (URL file:///home/Pi/CumulusMX/we files/gauges.htm) then it won't work. It needs to be accessed through a web server not the filesystem. Any web page other than the most simple ones will not work when accessed this way.

Hi,
Another thing, I can't send elementary the template data to my website either as I did with Cumulus.. maybe is the same or something similar
Have you done all the Internet settings?
Web/FTP Site and [tick] Enable FTP connection, etc. and in the Interval Configuration tab, [tick] I want to use the supplied default website

Can you share the website URL?

Enjoy,
Paul

I [tick] _Enable FTP connection and [tick] I want to use the supplied default website

In "Enable FTP connection" I done the same that in Cumulus 1.9.4 Build 1099

I have made this come out:

www.calonge-meteoweb.com/cmx/gaugesT.htm

I created a new folder (cmx) and there are a new files*.json + gaugesT.htm

Little by little...

Hi,
It looks like you have not FTP (one time) all the files and folders from your \CumulusMX\webfiles to your /cmx website.
The data files are there https://www.calonge-meteoweb.com/cmx/raindata.json
but not the .htm files https://www.calonge-meteoweb.com/cmx/index.htm or gauges.htm

Current CumulasMX version webfiles and how they work are different from Cumulus1 and previous CumulusMX versions.

Enjoy,
Paul

To upload the standard default webfiles, use FileZilla or similar. For the the Remote site click on /cmx to select it, and for Local site highlight to select all the content from \CumulusNX\webfiles and right-click to Upload.

Enjoy,
Paul

OMG!!! if I don't add the corresponding folders, the program will not be able to find them and for those it didn't read the data

I need an emoticon "banging my head against a wall" lol

Now, I will try to make GAUGES.HTM works.. maybe is the same problem..

Another thing, it is not the same but I take the opportunity to explain you :

yesterday it rained and CumulusMX marked 0.0mm, do I have to touch something?

it hadn't rained for days and the "error" had not been detected

Thank you so much

Hi, and glad you got another step completed

For the Gauges, it looks like you may not yet have done the settings:
In Internet settings > Interval Configuration = Real time Interval Settings
[tick] Enable real time, then enter Real time interval - i.e. 10 seconds
[tick] Enable real time FTP
[tick] Generate and [tick] FTP Transfer for both realtime.txt and realtimegauges.txt

Re the 0.0 mm rain, that should display if the station has detected rain. The log files in MXdiags folder may show some diagnostics so have a look there or zip and attach the file in a reply post. Also tell us when it rained that did not get recorded.

Enjoy,
Paul

Good Evening!!

For irrelevant reasons, I couldn't finish setting up the raspberry with CumulusMX until January 1st.

It seems that everything works. I'm lovin 'it!! You can see it on my website www.calonge-meteoweb.com or https://www.calonge-meteoweb.com/cmx/gauges.htm. Thank you very much for your help!!

But today, there is a problem... Last tonight it has rained (from 3:00h to 4:00 more o less). The console marks 3.3mm but CumulusMX 0.1mm
The pages that go directly to the console (WOW, WeatherUnderground, WeatherCloud), work correctly, but not those generated by CumulusMX.

I have Cumulus MX version 3.14.1 b3160 running on my Raspberry. have I to do something? Is it any wrong configuration?

Thanks a lot

Hello

This evening, on the program "Els temps" (The weather) on the Catalan regional television they have given 19.3º as data of the maximum temperature today in my town. It was a mistake since the maximum was 12.2º. I have verified that the data that was being sent was yesterday's!

I have a jump between the data from day 3 to 5. I think it is a problem that yesterday I was working with the monthly records ... but I will be more attentive in case it happens again.

Now, when the day has changed, the error has been fixed and yesterday's rain appeared on the screen. I have corrected data, but in the monthly and annual total it would have to come out 3.4mm (tomorrow I will find where to change the data)

It was only to comment with you since I have found the error of the "phantom" rain

Good night and thank you very much ;)

Cheers
