APRS question

Hi,

I notice that the Cumulus APRS data does not include the "last 24 hours" of rainfall like VWSAPRS does.

Is there anyway this can be added to the exported data?

The 2 data exports (raw data) look like the following...

K4MET>APRS,TCPXX*,qAX,CWOP-1:@221922z3357.11N/08425.26W_088/000g003t057r000P000h50b10185eCumulusDsVP

K4MET>APRS,TCPXX*,qAX,CWOP-2:@221923z3357.12N/08425.27W_088/000g002t057r000P000p030h50b10198v31

The last 24 hour rainfall amount is .30"

Thanks,

George

Cumulus currently has no (easy) way of obtaining the rainfall from the last 24 hours.

Steve, since these messages are about the Vantage Pro2...

I do not know how long of a period it is (time wise), but could Cumulus use the 'Rain Storm' data produced by the VP2 for the '24-hour rainfall amount?

Here is the definition offered by Davis: 'Rain Storm - Rain Storm displays the rain total of the last rain event. It takes two tips of the rain bucket to begin a storm event and 24 hours without rain to end a storm event.' :(

Unfortunately the Storm figure is not related in any way to the amount of rain which fell in the last 24 hours.
