Good Evening,
As per the instructions here at: https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Raspberry_Pi_Image, upon powering up my RBPi 4, I view a black start-up screen requesting cumulusmx login and password? Can someone here possibly help? Thank You in advance.

Sounds like you may have been expecting a GUI?

The pre-built image only runs the linux core.
After installation the user name and password are defaulted to pi & raspberry.

See if that gets you to the next point.

Cheers.

Once you have CumulusMX set up on your pi and the pi is connected to your home network, open a web browser on your pc / tablet and go to the address xxx.xxx.x.x:8998 (where the x's represent the IP address of your pi). e.g. 192.168.1.10:8998

This should take you to the interface of CumulusMX i believe.

If you dont know the ip address of your pi you can either:
Log in to your router and look for it under connected devices or...
log in to your pi with username: pi and password: raspberry then enter the command

ifconfig

you should see something similar for each network interface.

eth0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.0.4 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255
ether b8:27:eb:b4:5a:19 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 261945383 bytes 24819095947 (23.1 GiB)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 471074578 bytes 539740169137 (502.6 GiB)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

I am using a direct cable connection so under eth0 / inet this is my ip address 192.168.0.4 so in my browser I enter 192.168.0.4:8998 and get the MX interface.
